Anniversary ride

This weekend is the 2nd yr anniversary
of when we first met and 4 months since
we got married - ever since our
honeymoon it has been work,
work, work. Jude has to go to work
at 11pm tonight for an 8 hr shift.
Therefore we decided to take
the bikes out and had a great
ride along the cycle path from
Newhaven to Seaford.

Popping eyes....................

Ray found out
the hard way
what happens
when you spend
too much time online
playing sudoku until
the early hours!!!!!!!!!!

Work and Play

An update to the work situation is that during this past week Jude has been back in the classroom learning all about the Police National Computer and all the info that can be accessed in the line of her job. It was a very intensive course with lots to take on board but Jude managed to pass with a score of 100%!!

Ray and Jude will be spending the first week in February relaxing in Calpe, Spain. Ray has a mate who has an apartment out there so we have booked our flights and car hire for the 1st of February. We are looking forward to a week of nothing but sleeping, reading and eating Spanish food with just a little bit of sightseeing. We fly into Alicante then drive about an hour to Calpe the Costa Blanca area of Spain.

Work, work, work.........................

Just realised we haven't updated the blog since returning from Oz. That is because basically both of us have done nothing but work work work - Ray has been catching up with all the paperwork that piled up while he was away plus he had to take his turn at the emergency phone - this was quite busy with leaking boilers, radiators, lost front door keys, no hot water, blocked loos etc! Jude has been working long shifts and trying to make up for lost time - not all the training has been forgotten but it does mean the tutor period has been extended, so she isn't working solo just yet. We did have a meal with Ray's mum, Edie, at the Toby Carvery in Peacehaven which was lovely and Edie enjoyed having a day out from her own four walls. Talking of mums, Jude's mum is still undergoing tests to see what caused her heart attack. She is doing ok and managing a little bit more each day. Wayne and Sandra in Dampier are in the process of getting a new boat - it is a Mustang!!!!! We can't wait to go back and get aboard and catch those there fish!! Becky and Kia are well and they are moving home this weekend - moving to a bungalow with a lovely back garden Kia will enjoy playing in. Kia is a cutey and such a good little girl - she makes you laugh and laugh with her funny little ways. Ben is working shifts at both Lewes and Hailsham liesure centres while he looks for an apprenticeship with a garage - he really wants to train as a mechanic. Check out kirstywertz.blogspot.com to catch up on Mike and Kirsty's latest news. Kyle and Ethan both started new schools this week. Annette and Jock are busy up in Scotland while they continue on with the process of applying to emigrate to America - no telling how quick or slow it will be. Malcolm celebrated his 30th birthday late August and it was lovely to catch up with him while in Perth. We also met his girlfriend Isla who is a real sweetheart. They make a great couple. Ray's sister Carol and her husband Malcolm have been to Corfu on holiday and seem to have enjoyed the rest. Hopefully we will have some new pics and more interesting tales to tell next entry!
