We are sitting here on Saturday morning - Ray reading the paper, me surfing the net and Sky Magic blasting out hits of the 80's. Just had another delivery of wine from Tesco.com for the reception and evening celebrations. Calm and serene but will it be that way 4 weeks today? For Ray, yes! For Jude, I hope so!! Three weeks today we will be making our way up to Gatwick Airport to collect the first of our international visitors, Jude's brother Wayne and his wife Sandra from Dampier, Western Australia. They will be staying with other family at the oldfarmhouse in Newhaven which is at the foot of the downs.

31 days to go!!!!!!!
This afternoon Ray and I had to attend the Brighton & Hove City Council - giving notice of marriage to register our intention of marriage. We had to be separated while being asked personal details about each other such as age, full name, whether either had been married before or if we were in any way related to one another. ( I was half expecting to be asked which way he squeezed the toothpaste!!) We have to go back after the 12th May to collect the certificate. What a palaver!!
We then went shopping and I bought a necklace and ear-rings for the wedding from a fantastic shop in the lanes called All That Glitters . I also found a lovely watch to go with it all. Ray then bought a fantastic pair of shoes for the big day in a shop at Brighton Marina called Pavers Shoes. I don't think he is going to bother have the heel enlarged, I shall just bend my knees under the wedding dress!!!
After all that shopping we treated ourselves to dinner at M A Potters in Brighton Marina where we sat overlooking the boats and the sun was actually shining and warm through out our stay. A perfect end to the day.

Beautiful girl

Kia, Ray's granddaughter, is going to be our flower girl. She will be a year old two weeks before the wedding. We bought her an armchair and footstool for her birthday on May 13th. Last week she tried it out for size - what a cutey!!
Good Friday outing
Today we set off for an adventure not quite sure exactly where we would end up. However we had a fantastic day out even though for most of it the weather was lousy. Basically we followed the coast road from Newhaven right through Hastings, Romney, Hythe and up to Folkstone. On our return journey we went to Dungeness. That was brilliant and the weather had lifted enough for us to get out of the car and explore our surroundings. Photos will follow but for now check out the link - Dungenesslighthouse

Welcome

G'day from Jude and Ray in the UK!! We have decided to bore you all with a record of the run up to our wedding, the big day itself and the first year of married bliss.
The photo above was taken in Perth last year where Ray proposed to me. We are standing with mum and dad and my brother Wayne and his wife Sandra.
